The Triple Overtime Thriller!

In clearly the best game of the season, the Beast of a Battle lasted 3 OVERTIMES and the kids made some huge plays to makes scores as well as to stop a few. We lost 25-24 to Harlan HS (who kicked an extra point to win the game). (HS overtime gives each team 4 tries to score from the 10 yard line.) The clock below shows the score with a minute left in regulation.

I am very proud of how we played. Yeah we made some mistakes but I was more impressed by how we carried ourselves after the game. We were mostly very dignified in defeat and that's a true sign of character. The good news is that our playoff hopes are still alive! Click to see a few more game pics.

Lake View pulls out a close win 28-26

The game was a battle! and in the end Lake View got it done when it counted. With only a few minutes left in the game, the Broncos needed only a 2 point to conversion to tie the game. Broncos at Oak Forest

The Broncos traveled to Oak Forest HS on 159th and Central for our 1st and only pre-season game. We lost 42-14 but were happy to see good effort from the team. Special teams need some work and is on the agenda for next week. We will be watching game tape on Monday in hopes of learning from our mistakes as well as recognizing what we did well!
